You can add UTM codes to any Hypeddit Smart Link, Pre-Save, Download Gate or Link Gate so that you can track the performance of different traffic sources.
Let's say you promote your Hypeddit Smart Link with different types of traffic, such as...
- Facebook/Instagram ads
- Email campaign
- Music blog
You may want to see which traffic source drove the most engaged music fans to your music? Or you may want to see which traffic source drove fans to a particular music platform? Or how about which traffic source attracted fans from what countries?
In order to see detailed performance analytics for any Hypeddit Smart Link, Pre-Save, Download Gate or Link Gate broken out for each type of traffic, just add unique UTM codes to the corresponding Hypeddit URL.
The UTM format used by Hypeddit is ?hypesource={your_own_parameter}
For the example above, you may add the following UTM codes to your Smart Link URL (example for hypeddit.com/johngold/awakening):
- For Facebook/Instagram ads: hypeddit.com/johngold/awakening?hypesource=fb_ads
- For your email campaign: hypeddit.com/johngold/awakening?hypesource=email
- For your blog article: hypeddit.com/johngold/awakening?hypesource=blog
Similarly, you can use different UTM codes to track the performance of individual ad campaigns, audiences or ad creatives. Or you may use different UTM codes for individual email campaigns sent to your fans. There are virtually no limits to how you can use UTM codes for detailed performance tracking.
Whenever it's important for you to see performance analytics for any Hypeddit Smart Links, Pre-Saves, Download Gates or Link Gates broken out by traffic sources, UTM codes are the solution.
There is no limit to the number of UTM codes you may attach to your Hypeddit URLs.
To review the analytics of your campaigns broken out by UTM code, please visit the Analytics page for any of your Hypeddit Smart Links, Pre-Saves, Download Gates or Link Gates.
Select the UTMs drop-down menu as shown in the picture below to filter your analytics for one or multiple UTM codes.
UTM codes added to your URLs will automatically be detected by Hypeddit and appear in the drop-down menu as soon as they receive traffic.
