Smart links are simple landing pages for tracks or albums of your music. They let fans select on which platform they want to stream, buy or download your music - with one click.
By easily linking fans to your music on their favorite music service or store, smart links let you simply sell more music streams and downloads.
Creating smart links with Hypeddit just takes a few seconds:
- On your Hypeddit dashboard, click on "Share Music" in the top navigation. Then, click on the green "Select" button next to the "Smart Link" option.
- Start setting up your Smart Link by entering the URL of your track on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, SoundCloud or YouTube.
For best results, we recommend using a Spotify link.
Then, click "Next" - Select the genre of your track. You can search for it in the search box or browse through the list below.
Hypeddit uses the genre information internally to organize music for our Top 100 Charts and New Releases by genre. Just pick the genre that's closest to your musical style. The genre setting will NOT impact the performance of your pre-save.
Then, click "Next" - Enter your "Artist Name" and track "Title" - or check that the information that was automatically populated for you is correct.
Then, click "Next". - Customize the design of your smart link to best match your artist branding.
You can upload your cover art image (minimum of 500 x 500 pixels and maximum of 2,000 x 2,000 pixels) or use a video from YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia as cover art.
You can also set the color theme of your page. Select the light or dark presets - or use custom colors.
You can also remove the Hypeddit logo and add social media icons/links to this page.
When you completed your design settings, click "Next". - In the "Links" section, select to which music platform and stores you want to link your fans.
Add as many as you like.
If you want to add a music platform or store that was not automatically populated with the link to your music, simply add it from list of supported services and copy/paste the link to your music.
For any platforms and stores not on our list, simply add the "Custom" option. This lets you link to anywhere you like with a custom-labeled button on your smart link. - Set up an audio preview so fans can check out your music when visiting your smart link.
Click on the drop-down box and select the source of your track preview. You can also turn off the audio preview by selecting the option "No source selected"
Then, click "Next". - If you run ads for your music, you can set up your tracking pixels from Facebook Ads or Google Ads in the "Tracking Pixels" section.
Then, click "Next". - In the "Confirmation" step, you can double check the key settings of your smart link.
To make any changes, you can go back to any of the previous steps and update as needed.
You can also mark your smart link with a custom notes. Custom notes are only visible to you. They will show up on your Hypeddit dashboard and help you keep organized in case you set up multiple links for the same release.
Finally, click "Create".
And you're done!
You can now share your smart link URL with the world to reach and get more fans for your music.
Important: After you created your Smart Link, don't forget to link to it from your music on SoundCloud, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more...
Send as many fans as possible to your Smart Link so that your Smart Link can direct them to your music on their favorite music service or store.
Wanna know how many clicks you got and what your fan's favorite music platforms are?
